Orthopedic Fiberglass & Polyester Fabrics

1 Characteristics

• Orthopedic casting tapes and splints used for patients with fractures or other orthopedic injuries, produced by embedding water curable resin into fiberglass or polyester fabric made with a raschel loom. The fibers used may be fiberglass or polyester depending on the characteristics of the hospital.
• Fiberglass: High strength and good skin friction, but not eco-friendly
• Polyester: Eco-friendly and light, but strength is inferior to fiberglass

2 Usage

• Orthopedic Casts: Used as Orthopedic Splint & Casting Tape
• Repair Tape: Industrial and Household Pipe Repair Tape

1 특징

• 골절이나 기타 정형외과적인 질환을 입은 환자의 시술에 사용 되는 정형외과용 Casting Tape 및 splint는 랏셋 편집기로 제직한 유리섬유 원단 또는 폴리에스터 원단에 수경화성수지를 함침하여 제조를 하며 이에 사용되는 원사는 시술병원의 특성에 따라 유리섬유와 폴리에스터가 사용 됩니다.
• 유리섬유 : 강도가 강하고 피부 마찰도가 좋으나 비 환경적 입니다.
• 폴리에스터 : 친환경적이며 가벼우나 강도가 유리섬유에 비하여 떨어집니다.

2 용도

• 정형외과용 부목 : 정형외과용 Splint & Cast Tape로 사용.
• 종 보수테이프 : 가정용 및 산업용 파이프 보수테이프.
